George Floyd Memorial Vandalized

October 4, 2021

~ 2 minutes read

On Sunday morning, a skateboarder threw paint on a statue of George Floyd in Union Square, NYC.

What else is each side focusing on?
  • The statue had barely been up for two days.
  • Other memorials to George Floyd have been vandalized across the country.
  • Many statues of historically significant figures — who deserve to be memorialized — have been vandalized recently.
  • This is a victimless crime.
